a message from Darlene:

I'd like to add how proud I am of each owner who stuck it out and graduated my obedience classes with their dogs. They are the heroes to their dogs, the heroes took the time to learn more about how their dogs think and create a better relationship With their canine friends. Some have become Delta Certified Therapy Dogs, some have become Conformation champions,  some obedience champions, some agility champions, some just Champions of our hearts. Best of all, many have gone on to help others with their new knowledge, paying it forward..

Paws Patrol receives $100 check from St. Thomas More Parish School in Centennial, Colorado.

Here is the story:

My husband, Jeff, has a supervisor at Miller whose daughter fell in love with stories about a dog belonging to her daddy's friend. She followed Hero's cancer stories, award stories, and when she went to Colorado to be with her mother for her fourth grade school year, her dad continued to send her stories about Paws Patrol. She kept the newspaper clippings, and when the school asked students to nominate charities for their annual contribution, she nominated us.

The letter reads in part, "This donation results from the nomination of your charity by a student in Mrs. Darling's fourth grade homeroom, followed by a vote of the students. It is financed throught the St. Thomas More Parish School Children's Charity account. We hope this helps in a small way with the work you are trying to do. We wish God's blessings on the work of your organization."

We will ask the student to join us in some of our visits this summer while she is visiting her dad, and take pictures for her to take back to her class with our thanks.

There is truly no limit to the ripple effect of kind deeds. This honors and humbles us all.
